FAQs

Do you do bulk discounts?

Very much so! We sell many of our antigens in bulk to In Vitro Diagnostics manufacturers and can do very good discounts for any amounts from 1mg to 500mg. Just give us a call or an email to discuss.

Is my product in stock?

We aim to keep stock of all products on our website. On the odd occasion a product is out of stock, we will contact you by email to advise lead times and you can choose how to proceed.

When will I receive my order?

We aim to dispatch all orders the next working day after receipt if the product is in stock. The shipping time is usually overnight to the US and Europe, and 2-3 days to the rest of the world.

How will my antigens be shipped?

This depends on the antigen. We perform extensive shipping stability testing, and based on that make our decision on shipping conditions. Some products require dry ice but many products can be shipped at ambient temperature and should be frozen on arrival. We can ship “ambient” products on dry ice on request if you prefer.

We use FedEx as our preferred courier as they can handle hazardous goods (dry ice and toxins etc), and you get a tracking number to help you monitor the progress of your shipment.

We can also offer premium FedEx services, which offer replenishment of dry ice and dedicated monitoring during the shipping process.  Details of these services are available on request.

Is ordering online secure?

Yes. We use SSL encryption to send your credit card details to our merchant to process the transaction, and we don’t at any point store your credit card details. That way your information is always safe.

What if I am unsatisfied with my product?

We are committed to 100% customer satisfaction. Please contact us if you are unhappy with your order in any way, and we will work with you to resolve the issue. If the issue turns out to be a problem with the quality of our product, we offer a full money back guarantee, so you can order with confidence.

Will your antigen work in my assay?

Every assay is different. We are on hand to offer technical advice and we would recommend that if you have any questions, you contact us in advance and we can advise what product would match your requirement.

Why should I buy from NAC?

We have a lot of experience in growing and purifying antigens. Many of our products have been sold for years through very large distributors, so buying from NAC directly saves you money yet gives you exactly the same quality of product. We also have a team of dedicated senior scientists that are on hand to help with technical questions; you are always guaranteed to get a personal response from people that actually care about you as a valued customer. No call centres, no hold music, no faceless emails.

Do I need special import licenses for toxins?

Most of the time: no. America and EU certainly don’t need special licences for toxins now that the CDC relaxed their stance on C. diff toxins.

Do you do contract antigen production?

Yes we do. Many of our antigens were born from customer requests, and we thrive on being adaptive and flexible enough to take on new projects rapidly. Please contact us for a detailed quotation if you have an antigen or protein you want researching and manufacturing.

What level of quality do you operate at? Do you do GMP?

Our company’s Quality Management System is ISO9001 certified. We adhere to Good Documentation Practice for all our records, and all our production is done to iron-clad Batch Production Records resulting in minimal lot-to-lot variation. We do not do GMP production, although we can tech transfer to an outsourced GMP manufacturer if required.

Can I get a credit account?

For most established companies we are more than happy to give 30 day credit terms and let you pay on invoice. Please contact us by email to set this up. We are pleased to say our trust has so far been well placed and everyone in the industry has paid reliably!

Can I choose to use my own courier account?

Yes.   Please contact us and in most cases we can set up your order and ship through your own courier account using FedEx, DHL or UPS.   There may be some restrictions on using specific couriers for hazardous products or to particular territories.  Our web-site is set to exclusively use our own shipping service (via FedEx).

We do charge a handling fee where customers use their own couriers, which makes a contribution towards the cost of packaging and the packing process.

What is Pharma Grade (PG) antigen?

Pharma Grade antigen was developed in response to the need of pharmaceutical companies involved in clinical trials to have an antigen supply that was supported by the highest levels of documentation and quality. PG antigen has full traceability for staff training, raw material lots, equipment qualification, fully validated QC assays according to WHO or USP guidelines, GDP documents; essentially one step short of GMP manufacture. PG is only available on certain products at the moment, but any other NAC product can be brought to this level if the customer need is there.
